Hi

Regarding the Farmers' Market: I am not sure what "born out of study circles" means but Deanna English was very much our mother.

The Grangeville Farmers' Market is looking for vendors' for the upcoming season. The orientation for new and returning vendors is scheduled for Sat 5/31, 9-11 am at The Gallery. This is an opportunity for past and prospective vendors to share ideas, learn more about the market operations, and get help with sales tax paperwork. More info and applications are available at http://www.grangevillefarmersmarket.org

The Grangeville Horizons, Coordination System Team is currently exploring the possibility of creating a 501c3 Community Coalition to assist us in mobilizing our action teams and other community groups. We have a conference call scheduled for April 24th with a community in Minnesota to learn about their success with this process. As we move forward to create a non-profit, a local board of directors will be formed and new leadership will emerge.

The Grangeville Farmers Market, (born out of study circles) is preparing for the opening of the market on June 7th. In collaboration with the Downtown Action Team, they are planning a community yard sale for that day. The local Lion's Club will be serving hamburgars and local muscians will entertain shoppers throughout the day. These activities will provide community members the ability to buy and sell local goods.

The Recreation Action Team is exploring an option of hiring a University of Idaho intern to serve as a rec director for the summer .
